Michelle Sutherland is Named National Temporary of the Year

In recognition of her work ethic and embodiment of our corporate mission, we are pleased to name Michelle Sutherland our National Temporary of the Year. This award, presented at our recent Annual Conference, was given to the most outstanding field associate working on assignment through PrideStaff between August 1, 2018 and July 31, 2019.

Michelle works with our PrideStaff Columbus West office and we are so happy to share her story with you! She is a true Everyday Hero and it is amazing to see that we have PrideStaff Everyday Heroes nationwide!

Michelle was thankful for the support she recieved and was eager to get to work when she joined our PrideStaff Columbus West team! “My choice to work for PrideStaff was an easy one,” said Sutherland. “They showed consistent professionalism, care, concern and kindness in helping me in every facet of my initial interview and placement.” As she progressed from one opportunity to the next, Sutherland worked extremely hard, often staying late to finish jobs and working overtime whenever it was required to meet clients’ needs. Over the course of several months, her flexibility, willingness to learn, and solid work ethic paid off. She became a more versatile and valuable field associate, and her career as a PrideStaff field associate flourished.

Sutherland considers her temporary work experience through PrideStaff life changing. “The opportunity to work through PrideStaff has changed my life by building my self-confidence; they’ve afforded me the opportunity to not only earn a living, but to also feel like a viable and valuable employee at my place of employment,” she stated. “Working through PrideStaff has also helped advance my career goals by allowing me to recognize that they ARE real and achievable.” Through it all, Sutherland’s favorite part of her PrideStaff work experience has been their internal staff. “Their recruiters were outstanding and always available to assist and help me through any work-related issue,” said Sutherland.

When interviewed after the award ceremony, Sutherland was humble and appreciative. “Being named National Temporary Employee of the Year has made me recognize and appreciate the importance of maintaining and exemplifying what PrideStaff is all about. It has, in all sincerity, made me a better employee,” said Sutherland. “I just wanted to personally thank you for giving me an experience of a lifetime. Everyone was so professional and gracious to me; they truly exemplified the PrideStaff mission statement. I was genuinely touched beyond words even before you presented me with this award at PrideStaff’s Annual Conference. It was truly an amazing night and I would very sincerely like to thank you again for making my experience possible and allowing me to be a part of PrideStaff’s team.”

On a personal level, Michelle is caring, positive and kind-hearted. According to one of her supervisors, “Michelle is the welcoming committee. She always makes it her business to know each and every employee, whether an employee of the company or from another staffing agency. She ensures the people she works with unloading the truck have enough beverages to stay hydrated. I have seen Michelle bring in food for those that seem to come to work hungry and she never misses the chance to celebrate a birthday. I honestly believe that Michelle makes each one of us feel special; she motivates people.”

“Michelle is a prime example of how temporary assignments bring lasting success for our field associates and the employers they serve,” said PrideStaff COO, Tammi Heaton. “By being flexible, working extremely hard and reflecting PrideStaff’s mission while on the job, Michelle has proven to be a model employee who is a pleasure to work with and delivers great results for our clients. It’s my honor to present such a remarkable individual with this award and to have her representing our brand in the field each day.”

Michelle is truly a ROCKSTAR and we are so happy we were able to celebrate her at our annual conference! Next year they will be celebrating and recognizing an Everyday Hero as well and we will be flying our winner to Atlanta, Georgia, where the conference will be held! That could be you! We are so thankful for all that our employees do and we are happy to recognize them for going above and beyond!
