About Catherine

From Candidate to Recruiter

Catherine Streng is a Staffing Consultant at PrideStaff Dallas, helping candidates find accounting and finance roles that fit. She also partners with clients to find the right talent for their teams. Catherine knows what it’s like to be on the other side of the process.

She applied for a position through PrideStaff a few years back. That particular role wasn’t the right match, but after her interview, the team saw her potential and offered her an internal position instead. Now she gets to help other people find their perfect fit, just like PrideStaff did for her.

Catherine’s path to Dallas is anything but ordinary. She was born and raised in Costa Rica before her family moved to the U.S. when she was 10. Since then, she’s lived in five countries: Costa Rica, the United States, England, Spain, and South Korea. After earning both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Journalism, she moved to South Korea to teach English for over a year. That experience deepened her passion for cross-cultural connections and helping others navigate big life transitions.

She’s also a long-time supporter of Liberty in North Korea (LiNK), an organization that helps North Korean refugees escape and resettle around the world.

Catherine describes herself as “a bit of a nerd,” and she means it. When she’s not connecting people with opportunities, you’ll find her reading or gaming fantasy stories. She values meaningful connections and authenticity, and that shows in how she works with candidates and clients alike.
