PrideStaff Dallas Celebrates 25 Years with Ally’s Wish Partnership
October 2nd marked the beautiful conclusion of our 25th anniversary celebration with a meaningful partnership luncheon at Fogo de Chão in the Shops at Legacy. Surrounded by our valued clients and community partners, we celebrated our new five-year partnership with Ally’s Wish, a local nonprofit that grants final wishes to young mothers battling terminal illness. This partnership includes our commitment of $25,000 to support their vital mission.
What made this moment even more special was the journey that led us here. After receiving an overwhelming response to our summer-long nomination process, choosing a recipient proved incredibly challenging given the numerous deserving organizations in our community. However, Ally’s Wish emerged as our clear choice due to a deeply personal connection that touched our hearts and aligned perfectly with our mission.
How a Dallas Staffing Agency Found Purpose Through Loss
Our partnership with Ally’s Wish became deeply meaningful through the story of our beloved team member, Elizabeth. When she joined our Dallas office in 2021, Elizabeth quickly became known as our office cheerleader, the one who brought contagious joy and delivered the enthusiastic “WOOOOO!” that lit up everyone around her.
In fall 2022, Elizabeth received a colon cancer diagnosis that changed everything. She went from being our cheerleader to us being hers, and we watched this vibrant woman face her battle with the same incredible spirit she brought to everything else. Elizabeth had so many dreams still unfulfilled, but her final wish was beautifully simple: to join her 10-year-old daughter and mother on the beach, to make memories. Heartbreakingly, time ran out before she could make that dream come true.
When we discovered Ally’s Wish through our nomination process, it felt like the universe was aligning our purpose with our mission. Here was an organization dedicated to making dreams like Elizabeth’s come true.
Why Dallas Mothers with Terminal Illness Need Our Support

The work Ally’s Wish does is both beautiful and urgently needed. Currently, they maintain a devastating three-year waitlist, which means most mothers never receive their final wishes simply because there aren’t enough funds available.
The statistics tell a sobering story that puts this need into perspective:
- 286,542 women died from cancer in 2021 alone
- More than 850 children lose a parent daily in the United States
- By the time children reach 18, 1 in 13 will have experienced the loss of a parent
These aren’t just numbers, they represent families like Elizabeth’s, children who need one last beautiful memory with their mother, and moments of joy carved out of unimaginable sadness.
PrideStaff Dallas’s $25,000 Commitment: Just the Beginning
While we’re incredibly proud of our $25,000 commitment as part of this five-year partnership, we recognize this represents just the beginning of what’s needed to eliminate Ally’s Wish’s heartbreaking three-year waitlist. Our goal isn’t just to make a financial commitment, it’s to help raise awareness about this incredible organization and rally our community to join this mission over the years ahead.
This partnership has been the absolute highlight of our 25th anniversary year. It perfectly embodies what we’ve learned over 25 years of serving the Dallas community: that the most meaningful achievements happen when we turn shared values into action that changes lives.
