About This Opportunity
Can you keep a complicated order moving and the customer calm at the same time? Our Richardson client needs a Customer Service Specialist to be at the center of communication between customers, field sales, distribution, purchasing, and manufacturing. You’ll process orders, track deliveries, and flag bottlenecks before they turn into problems. After 90 days on-site, you move to a hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two at home.
What You’ll Do
- Provide pricing, product availability, and scheduling details through phone and written communication
- Process incoming orders by email, phone, fax, and EDI
- Track order activity, expedite high-priority deliveries, and alert staff to delivery bottlenecks
- Support committed accounts and sister companies, including monthly EDI responsibilities
- Complete department training modules to build deep knowledge of the client’s technical product catalog
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or an equivalent blend of education and experience
- Minimum 2 years in customer service or inside sales, ideally in a manufacturing or technical service environment
- Typing speed of 50 WPM with 99.75% keying accuracy
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email
- Knowledge of basic electrical concepts is a major plus

- Reconcile unapplied cash and resolve account variances
- Respond to the cash application email distribution and departmental inquiries
- Reach out to customers and departments for remittance and application details
- Handle monthly credit card charges, intercompany transfers, and GL reconciliation
What You Need
- 2-5 years in an accounts receivable role with a heavy cash applications or credit card posting focus

What We’re Seeing in the Dallas Job Market
Professional and business services is leading the metro. The sector added 22,700 jobs over the year through June 2026, up 2.9%, and accounted for more than 40% of all Dallas-Fort Worth job growth, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Accounting, finance, administrative, and customer service roles all sit in that category. Four of this edition’s five jobs land squarely inside it.
More people are looking, so timing matters. Dallas-Fort Worth unemployment was a preliminary 4.7% in June 2026, up from 4.0% a year earlier and above the national rate of 4.4%. Employers have more applicants to sort through than they did last summer. Apply early in a posting’s life and follow up on it.
Dallas pay is holding its position. Wages and salaries for private employers across the Dallas-Fort Worth area rose 2.5% for the year ending June 2026, against 3.1% nationally, according to the Employment Cost Index. Increases are running slower here, though local pay levels still sit above the national average.
