What We’re Seeing in the Dallas Job Market

Dallas-Fort Worth hiring stepped up in June. The metro added 54,600 jobs over the year through June 2026, a 1.3% gain, and Professional and Business Services accounted for more than 40% of that growth, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics summary published August 3, 2026. That is the strongest reading since early 2025, and it lands directly on the accounting, finance, and administrative roles we fill.

More people are searching, so applying early matters. The Dallas-Fort Worth metro unemployment rate was a preliminary 4.7% in June 2026, up from 4.0% in May and 4.0% in June 2025, according to the BLS. Dallas County came in at 4.8%. Getting your application in during the first few days of a posting puts you in front of a recruiter before the stack builds.

Warehouse and logistics hiring held its ground. Trade, Transportation, and Utilities added 9,900 jobs over the year through June 2026, up 1.1%, per the same BLS release. Five of this edition’s openings sit in production, warehouse, and supply chain, and four of those five start at $19.00/hour or better.

Bilingual candidates have an edge again this edition. Four of the nine listings name Spanish as preferred or a plus, spanning the production floor, production leadership, supply chain, and accounting support. If you speak both languages, put it at the top of your resume rather than in the skills line at the bottom.
