The market is turning back up. After months of slowdown, Dallas-Fort Worth added 41,900 jobs year-over-year in January and 24,200 in February 2026, a real rebound from late 2025’s lows. For job seekers, that means more openings and renewed hiring energy heading into summer.
Wage growth has cooled, and that’s reshaping offers. DFW wages and salaries rose just 1.8% over the past year, compared to 3.4% nationally. Employers have more room to operate, which means roles that sat open last year are coming back to market now.
