Your nominations helped us discover Ally’s Wish. Our 25th anniversary mission is complete.
Celebrating Ally's Wish
When we started thinking about how to celebrate our 25th anniversary, we knew we didn’t want just another business party. We wanted to do something meaningful. So we decided to donate $25,000 to a local nonprofit. Instead of choosing ourselves, we opened nominations to discover an organization we might not have known about.
The universe has a funny way of working. Through those nominations, we discovered Ally’s Wish, a Dallas nonprofit that grants wishes to young mothers battling terminal illnesses. They give these incredible women moments of joy when they need it most, dream vacations, spa days, precious time with family, or simply the chance to feel celebrated.
Why Ally's Wish Means So Much to Us
What makes Ally’s Wish extraordinary isn’t just what they do, but how they do it. While big charities write checks, Ally’s Wish builds relationships. They ensure every woman in our community knows she’s more than her diagnosis.
This mission hit especially close to home because Ally’s Wish had already touched our PrideStaff family through someone we loved deeply. Elizabeth was our office cheerleader, the one who delivered the “WOOOOO!” every time our team needed encouragement. Her smile was contagious, and everything about her brought joy to everyone who knew her.
In fall 2022, an emergency room trip changed everything: colon cancer. Elizabeth had so many dreams, so many things she hadn’t yet done. Her final dream was to take her 10-year-old daughter and mother to the beach, but time ran out before she could make it happen.
The Reality
Ally’s Wish exists to make dreams like Elizabeth’s come true, but here’s the heartbreaking truth: they currently have a three-year waitlist. Most of these women can’t have their final wishes granted because there simply aren’t enough funds.
The statistics are staggering. In 2021 alone, 286,542 women died from cancer. More than 850 children lose a parent daily in the United States. By age 18, 1 in 13 children will have experienced losing a parent.
Every statistic has a name, a family, and a story.
Join us. We’d love for you to join us in supporting Ally’s Wish beyond this celebration. Whether it’s volunteering your time, making a donation, or simply spreading awareness in your own networks. Together, we can help ensure that Ally’s Wish has the resources they need to grant wishes immediately.
