Since opening our doors 20 years ago, my team and I have witnessed dramatic changes in our industry, the economy and the way businesses hire and staff their organizations. Through it all, we’ve gained invaluable experience and wisdom – and we’re sharing those business lessons in a series of 12 posts to mark 20 years of staffing success:

It may sound funny coming from someone in the people business, but one of the most important lessons we’ve learned is how mission-critical your team is to achieving business goals.
Why is hiring the best so important?
Our Dallas staff started out small in 2000, and as the local owner I did most of the “heavy lifting” when it came to consulting with clients, making key decisions and building our reputation in the market.
As we grew, however, I knew couldn’t do it all alone. Responsibility for our firm’s success and reputation extended beyond me to include additional team members. To sustain our growth, I had to hire, train and empower my staff to make great decisions that benefit all parties in the employment equation.
Finding (and retaining) talented team members became my highest priority, to ensure we continued providing the level of service our clients deserve. Happily, one of those hires, who started as a college intern, is now my business partner, Julie Vicic.
Twenty years of success in the staffing industry has taught us that great people are the foundation of business success. As we look forward to the next two decades, we have no doubt that an amazing service delivery team is our key to thriving in 2040 and beyond.
