Meet Sarah Brown, PrideStaff Financial Executive Recruiter. Don’t expect Sarah to cook for you; she’d rather spend time traveling or playing with her dogs than learning her way around the kitchen. Sit down in Sarah’s office with a cup of coffee and a good story, and you will likely leave with all your biggest world problems solved, or with tears of laughter rolling down your face.
What were you doing before working with PrideStaff North Dallas? I graduated in 2003 from Texas A&M University and worked for nine years in Accounting & Finance. In the Spring of 2012, I was affected by a corporate restructure and reached out to PrideStaff to assist with my job search. After meeting with the team and discussing my goals, I started to consider other ways I could leverage my accounting experience. PrideStaff had an internal opening on their PrideStaff Financial team and here I am! Almost four years later!
What is your role with PrideStaff? I am an Executive Recruiter focusing on direct hire placements specifically in Accounting and Finance.
What is your favorite thing about working at PrideStaff? The People! I really appreciate the team that I interact with everyday, and I enjoy getting to help others find a new opportunity that is aligned with their career goals. We have the best clients!
What is your Favorite PrideStaff memory? Oh goodness, how to choose? One that stands out is my first Christmas party in 2012! We flew down to Austin for the weekend and stayed at The Driskill. After a delicious dinner, we took a carriage ride around the city. Hot cocoa, horses and Christmas lights! Such fun!
Anything your clients and candidates may not know about you? I have spent the greater part of my adult life using my kitchen for extra storage. Recently, I have dabbled in Crock Pot recipes. Last month I was excited to come home to Crock Pot Spaghetti Squash. Unfortunately, I had forgotten to plug the Crock Pot in. Oops.
Laughter is my most favorite…coffee is a close second, and I would rescue all the dogs on the planet if I could. New York City is where I feel the most at home, I prefer to listen vs. talk, and I have a love/hate relationship with soft pretzels from the mall.
Any awards or recognitions you’ve received? In the fourth grade… I was recognized for scoring the most points in my Pee Wee basketball league. I continued to play throughout middle school & high school, but clearly peaked in the fourth grade. 😉
Here @ PrideStaff: Our team was voted Office of the Year for 2013 & 2014 at PrideStaff’s Annual Conference. This past year in 2015, we were recognized as a Top Place to Work in Dallas by the Dallas Business Journal.
