Head outside together, take in the fresh air, and make work extra enjoyable this summer by helping your team get to know one another even better. Business must still go on at your office this summer, but there’s no reason you can’t incorporate a bit of fun into the mix. Use the following three outdoor teambuilding activities to help your employees connect this summer:

1. Send Them on Scavenger Hunt.
   Divide your employees into small groups of 3-5 people and send them on a scavenger hunt! Use smartphones or tablets to distribute clues on-the-go. Send them all over town to gather the clues, complete missions, and put the pieces together─ awarding a prize to the team who successfully completes the challenge first.
2. Volunteering Together.
   Let your team enjoy a day outdoors together while helping others in the community. Allow the group to vote on the type of volunteer project they’d like to take part in ─ planting flowers in a local park, cleaning up trash along a beach or walking trail, helping an organization like Habitat for Humanity, or working to create a community garden.
3. Take Them Out to the Ballgame.
   Take the afternoon off work and head over to your local baseball stadium for a few hours of team bonding in the sun. It doesn’t matter if your office is located near a professional team or minor league affiliate ─ it’s the teambuilding time that counts! Don’t have a baseball stadium near your office? Improvise by holding your very own softball game with your employees as the players.
